Wuling Motors (Wuling) is preparing to introduce its newest electric car in Indonesia. Here are the leaked prices and specifications for the Wuling electric car.
Wuling Motors (Wuling) has started to introduce electric vehicle (EV). The mini EV will also participate in the G20 Summit as an official car partner.
Previously, Wuling Motors Indonesia Brand & Marketing Director Dian Asmahani said the Wuling Mini EV has advantages in the electric car class such as compact design, easy charging, and sufficient mileage in urban areas.
"It will be marketed in the near future," said Dian recently.
The Wuling mini electric car will also be produced at the company's factory facilities located in Cikarang, West Java to meet domestic demand. Wuling is also preparing an electric vehicle supporting ecosystem so that it can provide the best service when the product is launched.
Wuling also said that Wuling Mini EV was developed by Wuling Indonesia with Wuling in China through cooperation, starting from design, charging, to unit mileage. As a result, charging will be very easy and can be done at home.
"We want to emphasize that this Wuling EV is not too dependent on the SPKLU," said Wuling
On the other hand, in terms of design, this Wuling EV carries a compact design with a capacity of 4 passengers. This car has an Extended Horizon LED Daytime Running Light combined with chrome strips and black trim. Then, the Illuminous Wuling logo on the front adds a modern impression and the multilevel headlight design adds to the futuristic and modern aura of the Wuling EV.
On the side, the Wuling EV applies a futuristic rearview mirror with a design that looks like it floats but remains sturdy. Aero-craft cabin window on the second row which further sharpens the future elements of electric vehicles.
Then, the curved-tech body line combined with the minimalist dual-tone color scheme makes this electric vehicle look stylish. Then, at the back there is also a modern parallel step rear lamp.
From the engine side, The Newbie Automotive monitors that Wuling will use the engine previously used by the Hong Guang Mini EV. Where it will be equipped with an electric motor that can produce 20 kW of power or the equivalent of 26.8 horsepower and 85 Nm of torque.
The tiny car is equipped with a 13 kW electric motor and a 9.2 kWh or 13.8 kWh battery. With a smaller battery, this vehicle can cover a distance of 120 km, while with a larger battery it can cover a distance of 170 km.
Meanwhile, regarding the price, based on rumors circulating, the price of the Wuling EV starts from Rp. 200 million. Meanwhile, its Chinese twin sells for US$4,500 or the equivalent of Rp. 65 million, while the variant with air conditioning (AC) is priced at US$ 5,000 or around Rp. 72 million.
