Ridwan Kamil's family is abroad. At the time of the incident, Ridwan Kamil was on an official trip in England with a delegation from the West Java Provincial Government.
Meanwhile, his wife and two children are in Switzerland looking for a master's degree school for Eril.

"The chronology is that Eril swam in the Aaree River, Bern, with his sister and friends. When he wanted to rise to the surface, Eril was dragged by a fairly fast river current which had previously received help from his friend. The incident occurred on May 26, 2022 at noon Swiss time with conditions the weather is sunny," said Elpi.
Receiving the news, Ridwan Kamil immediately followed him to Switzerland. Until this information was submitted, the search had been running for six hours (26 May 2022 at 23.00 WIB). Currently, the SAR still searching.
