In the match at Impact Arena, Bangkok, Thailand, Anthony Ginting defeated Kento Momota in a straight game with a score of 21-13, 14-21, 21-12.
In the first game, Anthony Ginting was able to perform so well. He immediately took the initiative to attack to record the first point and was 4-1 ahead of Momota.

Anthony Ginting lost a lot of points after that until Momota narrowed the gap to 7-14, before the Red and White representative decided the opponent's series of points to lead 15-8.
The two badminton players then took turns getting points, but Ginting who was far superior in the end managed to come out victorious with a score of 21-12
This is Anthony Ginting's fifth win over Kento Momota in 16 meetings. Prior to this match, the fifth-ranked men's singles team lost to Momota in the BWF World Tour 2019 final.
This victory made Indonesia temporarily lead 1-0 from the 2014 Thomas Cup champions. In the second party, the Red and White team fielded the men's doubles pair, Mohammad Ahsan/Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo.
