Visit the Re-opened Monas, Visitors: Usually See on TV, Now Can See Live

The National Monument (Monas) tourist area has reopened after being closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Today, Saturday (18/6/2022) is the third day of the trial for reopening the area.

A visitor named Hasnah (50), a resident of Makassar, South Sulawesi, admitted that she enjoys traveling to Monas.

He said that traveling to Monas was his dream since he was a child.

"My dream is to go to Monas. Knowing that Monas is on television, many people are happy to see it. When they go there for a walk, there happens to be an assignment child in Bogor, all of them are brought here for a walk," said Hasnah at Monas, Saturday.

His dream was finally achieved at the age of 50 years.

Because of that, Hasnah said she was very happy because she could see Monas in person.

"It's good to see it directly rather than seeing it on television, it's really beautiful," he explained.

To capture the happy moment, Hasnah also did not forget to increase the documentation by taking selfies with the family.

"For memories, we have taken photos with the family before going home. Later when we arrive in Makassar, we will tell the family in Makassar. The plan is to take the family of grandchildren here for a walk," he concluded.

On the same occasion, Hasnah's besan, Azmi (37) said that he knew that Monas had been reopened from information on television.

"Oh yes, I saw the news this morning on television that it had just reopened since the pandemic. The intention was to come here. This is the first time I have been to Monas, I usually see it on television now," said Azmi.

With a family group of eight people, the family from Makassar took a car to Monas.

According to Azmi, the view of Monas is better when viewed directly than through television.

So comfortable, Azmi plans to spend a long time at Monas until the operational hours of the aa area end.

"I don't regret going away from Makassar while on vacation. The monument and the buildings around it are beautiful. It's clean, here the plan is for Monas to close, then come home," he concluded.
