Ridwan Kamil expressed his gratitude for the discovery of his son's body through his Instagram account.
"Allahu Akbar! Alhamdulillah, O Allah SWT, you have granted our prayer request. The body of ananda Emmeril Kahn Mumtadz has been found," wrote Ridwan Kamil on his personal Instagram account on Thursday (9/6)
"God willing, Eril's body will return to the country on Sunday and be buried on Monday," he continued.
Currently, Eril's body is in the process of being repatriated and is scheduled to arrive in the country on Sunday (12/6).
The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) in Bern has confirmed that it will oversee the handling of the repatriation of the bodies until they arrive in Indonesia.
In a press conference, the Indonesian Ambassador to Switzerland Muliaman Hadad said that the rights of Eril's body had been fulfilled according to Islamic law.
"We ask for prayers so that the entire process of Eril's return can go smoothly," said Muliaman Hadad in a virtual press conference Thursday night (9/6).
