The day before the match, Shin Tae Yong as the coach of the Indonesian national team explained that his squad was in an excited state.
"Currently the condition of the players is very good. During training, the players are always enthusiastic and work hard. We will give the best resistance and win of course," said Shin Tae Yong via PSSI's official website.
"Even so, Egy Maulana is absent for tomorrow's match (tonight-ed) because he is still injured," added the South Korean coach.
The Garuda squad this time carries a mission to prepare for the 2023 Asian Cup Qualification which will take place from 8 June 2022.
"I will test the atmosphere of the team's organization in the match later. Moreover, we will face Kuwait, Nepal and Jordan in the 2023 Asian Cup Qualifiers later," added Shin.
On the opposing side, Bangladesh also seems to have a similar mission. The South Asian country is scheduled to carry out the 2023 Asian Cup Qualifiers against Bahrain, Malaysia and Turkmenistan.
Apart from that, tonight's match is also an opportunity for both sides to raise the FIFA rankings.
The reason is, the agenda at Si Starling Harupat Stadium has been registered in the FIFA Matchday .
