Ustaz Abdul Somad Forbids Congregants to Mention Sunday: That Means the Day of Worshiping Jesus Christ!

A video clip shows an old lecture Ustaz Abdul Somad (UAS) who forbade his congregation to mention Sunday.

One of the netizens who shared the UAS video was the owner of the Twitter account @rosela_setia. He uploaded it on Monday (30/5/2022).

In the video, Ustaz Abdul Somad is seen lecturing on the pulpit and explaining the meaning of the word Sunday.

According to UAS, Sunday comes from the word Dominggo which means a day to worship the Lord Jesus Christ.

"Don't mention Sunday," said UAS, quoted by Populis.id from the tweet of the @rosela_setia account, Tuesday (31/5/2022).

He added, “Sunday is taken from the word Dominggo. Dominggo means the day of worshiping God. Lord God Jesus Christ."

After that, a woman was heard responding to UAS. However, the sound is identical to that of Google.

The woman then said that UAS was too fanatical blindly.

"Dear Ustaz Somad, I'm sorry because I thought you were a blind fanatic," said a typical Google female voice.

He himself admits that the word Sunday does have something to do with Jesus Christ, the God that Christians believe in.

However, he questioned whether the faith of Muslims would be affected just because they mentioned Sunday.

He said, "It must be admitted that the name Sunday has something to do with Jesus Christ who Christians believe as God."

“But will your faith and the faith of your followers be affected by just mentioning the name of Sunday? How weak and fragile is your faith?” he asked emphatically.

When uploading the video clip of the UAS lecture, the account owner @rosela_setia poked fun at a number of other figures such as Refly Harun, Fadli Zon, to Said Didu.

"Gmn neeh @UasAbdulSomad @ReflyHZ @PKSejahtera @MardaniAliSera @fadlizon @Fahrihamzah @msaid_didu," concluded @rosela_setia.
