TikTok Tries 'Clear Mode' Feature, Can Be More Clear Watch Content on Applications

1

TikTok is testing a new feature called clear mode . This feature can make users more flexible when watching content in the application. Later, displays such as usernames, text, and audio information that can interfere with the video will not be visible.

In some cases, users can also omit the like, comment and share buttons for a completely distraction-free viewing experience.

Clear mode was first revealed by The Next Web Matt Navarra, but TikTok only confirmed it to TechCrunch while testing the feature on Tuesday, May 31, 2022.

The company hasn't said when users will be able to experience the clear mode display. As always, it's also worth noting that TikTok may decide not to implement the feature based on feedback the company collects from users.

If your TikTok app is among those who can try the trial, you can access clear mode by long-pressing on the video and tapping the appropriate option.

As TechCrunch out, the feature when implemented could make it easier for content creators as they no longer need to re-upload clips to fit the user's screen. The reason is, TikTok users often write comments that videos are covered in text or buttons that have obscured an important part of the video they want to see.

TikTok has been testing more types of feature enhancements in recent months. For example, some users recently gained access to a watch history feature that makes it easy to find videos that you forgot to like .
