PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. (BBRI) noted that corporate segment lending grew positively in the range of 4 percent on an annual basis ( year-on-year / yoy) as of May 2022.
BRI Corporate Secretary Aestika Oryza Gunarto said that although it is not core business , BRI continues to encourage the corporate segment to continue to grow.
There are three main strategies in developing BRI's corporate business, namely selective growth and improving asset quality, encouraging transaction ( fee-based income ) and low-cost funds ( current account saving account / CASA) , as well as optimizing corporations that have a supply chain or trickle down business that can encourage the MSME segment.
BRI itself targets to have a portion of the composition of MSME loans reaching up to 85 percent. Meanwhile, the portion of corporate loans will be maintained at a maximum of 15 percent of the total loans disbursed by BRI.
On the other hand, according to Aestika, if Bank Indonesia raises the BI 7-Day Reverse Repo Rate ( BI7DRR ) , there will be a struggle for funds in the community.
However, at this time, he continued, the struggle for funds in the community will not be as tight as it was during the double-digit . Aestika said that BRI's liquidity is currently in an ample condition. Meanwhile, BRI's loan to deposit ratio (LDR) was 87 percent in the first quarter of 2022.
"BRI is optimistic that it will be able to grow credit in the range of 9 percent - 11 percent yoy until the end of 2022, or until now it has not revised the growth set at the beginning of the year," said Aestika to Bisnis , Friday (17/6/2022).
Meanwhile, for the direction of deposit and loan interest rates going forward, BRI will continue to conduct reviews periodic
