The name Ghozali Ghozalu suddenly became trending on all social media. The teenager from Indonesia went viral for selling selfies into Non-Fungible Tokens ( ) NFT through the listing world's largest The platform provides a platform for creators who want to sell digital artwork using the currency Eth ( ethereum ).
The 22-year-old man took selfies with a flat face from the age of 18-22 years (2017-2021). Currently the collection reaches 933 photos. He then named his NFT collection as Ghozali Everyday . Similar to the name of the collection belonging to the king of NFT Beeple, EVERYDAYS: THE FIRST 5000 DAYS .
Initially, one photo of Ghozali was priced at 0.001 eth or the equivalent of Rp. 45 thousand. However, due to the increasing demand, the price of Ghozali's NFT continues to soar. According to the OpenSea , the lowest price for Ghozali's NFT is around 0.29 eth (Rp 14 million). Currently, there are 440 people who have NFT.
Ghozali Everyday even broke into the top 40 of OpenSea's with a 72,000 percent increase in activity according to data from the market.
Ghozali did not forget to send a message to his photo buyers via Twitter , “You can do anything like flipping or whatever, but please don't abuse my photos or my parents will be very disappointed in me. I believe in you guys so please take care of my photos.”
Ghozali is not the first teenager to be cheated on because of the NFT. Benjamin Ahmed, a 12-year-old boy from London, has made around GBP 290,000 (Rp 5.7 billion) after selling an NFT of pixelated artwork under the name Weird Whales that he produced during the school holidays.
Weird Whales is Benjamin's second digital art collection. He drew inspiration from the famous pixelated whale meme image and popular digital art style, but used his own program to create a collection of 3,350 types of whale emoji.
Benjamin is currently working on his third superhero . He also wants to make an underwater game featuring whales.(*)
