East Ventures led the initial funding for Superkul, a startup cold chain and refrigeration logistics delivery service Superkul will later allocate these funds to increase operations.
Principal Devina Halim said, cold chain logistics has become a big industry in Indonesia. It is believed that the proper integration of operations and digital solutions provided by Superkul will help millions of Indonesians scale their business.

Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer Cathrine Susilowati Prajitno said, "We are delighted to be part of the strong East Ventures ecosystem. He also believes that the funding and support will help provide the best cold chain and refrigeration logistics solutions for business people in Indonesia.
"With the huge potential in the cold chain logistics industry in Indonesia, which has also been accelerated by changes in market behavior due to the pandemic, we believe we can take advantage of this need and momentum to continue to empower communities to grow as a whole," said Cathrine.
Together with Felix Sutanto, Chris Wiranata, and Eunike Yvonne Hanata, Catherine founded Superkul in 2020 to integrate technology solutions into logistics operations. Superkul offers a fleet of motorcycles equipped with cooler boxes ( Superkul Box ) that can carry -22॰C to 10॰C.
Today, Superkul has served 231 clients and operates in most metropolitan cities, especially in Jakarta and Bandung. In the momentum of celebrating the 2nd founding day, Superkul also signed a cooperation agreement with PT Sekar Bumi Tbk.
The market value of the cold chain industry in Indonesia will reach US$ 4.97 billion in 2021 and with an average annual growth rate of 10.2%. The market value of this industry is estimated to reach US$ 12.59 billion in the next 10 years.
Superkul targets the operation of 100 fleets in the first half of 2023. Superkul will also open its operations in major cities in Indonesia, providing last-mile delivery services, middle-mile aggregators , and cross docks .
