Huawei introduced their latest laptop, the MateBook D16, which was announced to be released in Indonesia on July 27, 2022.
The Huawei MateBook D16 laptop is powered by the latest Intel Core 12 Gen H-Series processor, with 16GB RAM and a high-speed 512GB SSD.
Edy Supartono, Training Director of Huawei Device Indonesia in a virtual roundtable media, Monday afternoon (18/7/2022) explained that this laptop already uses an Intel Core i7-12700H processor.
"You can imagine that the performance is much more improved. Moreover, it uses an H series processor," said Edy added.
Huawei said the Huawei MateBook D16 is highly recommended for students and workers who need computing support for multitasking and entertainment needs, from gaming, watching videos, or editing.
For the 16-inch Huawei FullView Display screen with 100 percent sRGB, but still has a lightweight design that only weighs 1.7 kilograms.
The Huawei MateBook D16 screen itself is capable of displaying a 1080p IPS screen that supports a 100 percent sRGB color gamut making it suitable for design needs, and a maximum brightness of 300 nits.
This Huawei laptop is equipped with an anti-glare screen protector so that the screen remains clearly visible even in bright environments. Huawei said, IPS panels are more suitable for dynamic content.
The aspect ratio of laptop screens has also evolved to 16:10, allowing users to view charts, data and documents more easily, with a larger and higher viewing area.
FollowCam and Virtual Background
Huawei also embeds a Webcam with a high resolution 1080p AI Webcam on the Top Bezel. This webcam also supports Wide Angle, so it has a wider viewing angle.
Another excellent feature on the Huawei MateBook D16 is FollowCam, which allows the camera to follow the user.
Huawei also said that this laptop supports needs such as virtual meetings, one of which is Virtual Background, which uses Huawei's latest AI technology.
On this device, users can activate a virtual background according to their wishes, which can be applied in various different online meeting applications.
The FollowCam and Virtual Background features can also be turned on or off via the Huawei Control Panel.
Suitable for Students, Families and Professionals
In addition, Edy also revealed that charger for the MateBook D16 is 30 percent smaller than the previous MateBook. "Only 126 grams, and this can still provide 65W Super Charge charging quality," he added.
For the market segment, Edy said the Huawei MateBook D16 is suitable for use by students and families.
However, with various new features such as AI Camera, AI Sound, High Performance Processor, this device is also capable for professional workers.
"So this laptop is suitable for students who are really looking for value for money , or for family use at home, or also to work professionally," said Edy.
As for gaming , Edy said the MateBook D16 is still capable of being used to play light games to medium class.
