After a 14-day search, the body of the eldest son of the Governor of West Java Ridwan Kamil , Emmeril Khan Mumtadz (Eril) was finally found.
Eril's body was found at the Engehalde Dam, Aare River, Bern, Switzerland, Wednesday (8/9/2022) at around 06.50 Swiss time.
The person who first found Eril's body was Geraldine Beldi . He is an elementary school teacher (SD).
When meeting with Ridwan Kamil, Geraldine shared that she always looked at the Aare River when she walked to school, hoping to find Aeril.
"So every time I walk, I always look towards the Aare River. And it turns out that I found it," wrote Emil citing a conversation with Geraldine via his personal Instagram, @ridwankamil, Friday (10/6/2022).
Geraldine said, all Bern residents know about the disaster that befell Eril, and she is also sorry for the tragedy experienced by Ridwan Kami. Because he also has two children.
“We citizens of Bern City, know all about Eril's news. And I also have 2 children. My condolences, sir," he said.
As an expression of gratitude for the teacher who found his son, Ridwan Kamil also asked Geraldine to let him know if he wanted to visit Indonesia.
Not only that, the man who is familiarly called Emil also offers Geraldine all the facilities when visiting Indonesia.
“Mrs. Geraldine, if you want to go on vacation to Indonesia, please let me know. Later, I will take care of everything as our gratitude," said Emil.
Previously, it was reported that Eril was swept away by the current while swimming in the Aare River, Switzerland, last Thursday (26/5/2022).
After the incident, the Swiss SAR team also conducted a search with drones equipped with a body temperature detector ( thermal drones ), boats, and land vehicles to look for Eril's whereabouts.
Not only that, the search was also carried out by sending a dive team. However, Eril's whereabouts have not been found.

"Mrs Gerladine Beldi's name is @geraldine.beldi. An elementary school teacher who found Eril's body in the Aare River, when he was walking in the morning to his teaching place," wrote Emil through his personal Instagram account, Friday (10/6/2022) night.
Seeing Eril's body, Geraldine then immediately contacted the local police. The officer who received the report immediately came to find Eril and evacuated him.
"Finally Eril's body can be lifted and saved properly," he said.
