The body of Emmeril Kahn Mumtadz ( Eril ), son of West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil, was flown to Indonesia from Zurich Airport, Switzerland, Saturday (11/6/2022). Eril's body is scheduled to arrive at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Indonesia, on Sunday tomorrow.
The Director for the Protection of Indonesian Citizens (WNI) at the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Judha Nugraha, explained several stages of repatriation of Eril's body before it was flown to the country.
"Under the direction of the President and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Indonesian Embassy in Bern and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs continue to assist, starting from the search to returning the bodies to the country," he said in a press briefing at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Saturday (11/6/2022).

Since Eril's body was found last June 8, the following 5 stages of repatriation have been carried out by the Indonesian Embassy in Bern:
1. Management of the decision of the court of the canton of Bern for permission to hand over the corpse.
2. Manage dead certificates with local authorities.
3. Issue a death certificate issued by the Indonesian Embassy in Bern.
4. Performing the funeral in accordance with Islamic law.
5. Carry out funerals in accordance with aviation standards.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has held a coordination meeting with the relevant agencies for the smooth arrival of the bodies in the country," said Judha.
According to him, Eril's body will be flown on one flight with Ridwan Kami and his family.
"Ridwan Kamil accompanied by officials from the Indonesian Embassy in Bern was already at Zurich Airport, taking off at 10:10 local time," he said.
"Ridwan Kamil and Eril's body will arrive at Soekarno-Hatta Airport on Sunday at 15.45 WIB. The bodies will be brought to Bandung by land route," he said.
