BTS and LEGO will collaborate! Although not officially, really. LEGO plans to launch a new product with the theme of one of BTS' songs, Dynamite, which is made by fans or fanmade .
Citing Koreaboo , the LEGO Review Board announced that they will be launching five fan related to BTS. Indeed, this is fanmade, but it will be an official from LEGO. This product has been curated and selected from a total of 34 submitted works.
One of these products is made by Josh Bretz (JBBrickFanatic) and Jacob (BangtanBricks). They re-created the characters and sets in Dynamite BTS Even this work is also equipped with interesting details such as cover in the set window.
"I'm a huge BTS fan and I wanted to combine my love for their music with passion for LEGO," Jacob said in an interview released by LEGO, as quoted by Koreaboo . Jacob admitted that Dynamite is one of his favorite songs because it can always make him excited about his activities.
Meanwhile, Josh Bretz admitted that he made LEGO BTS because he felt something was missing from the Dynamite MV. Not that the MV is bad, but Josh saw that there were empty spaces in the MV that could still be filled with something unique. "With fanbase such a dedicated Dynamite truly iconic. I worked with my friends to make the best version (in LEGO form)," said Josh.
These two creators support and appreciate each other. And they both agreed that ARMY's support was amazing. It was this support that enabled them to successfully complete project .
"Initially, in the first 27 days I faced a lot of problems in building traction on social media to get the attention of the BTS fandom. But one night, Josh made a TikTok and promoted our set, and it went viral," explained Jacob.
They managed to complete project in one month. To be exact, 27 days of confusion and three days of completing LEGO builds at lightning speed.
