K-Pop boyband from South Korea, BTS after visiting US President Joe Biden on Tuesday (31/5).
BTS's visit to the White House is an agenda item that aims to discuss hate crimes targeting Asians in America.
Prior to the meeting, Jimin et al. gave a statement to reporters about a fairly sensitive racial issue in the US.
BTS made a visit to the White House with complete members namely J-Hope, Suga, Jungkook, V, Jin, RM, and Jimin.
Jimin loudly addressed reporters calling for an end to crimes targeting Asian Americans.
"We are devastated by the recent wave of hate-based crimes, including hate crimes against Asian Americans," Jimin said.
"To stop this and support this cause, we want to take the opportunity to voice ourselves once again."
Suga and V also gave speeches about justice for Asian Americans who received a lot of hate crimes in the last 2 years.
"There's nothing wrong with being different. I think equality starts when we open up and embrace all our differences," said Suga.
"Everyone has their own history. We hope that today we are one step closer to respecting and understanding each person as a person of value," said V as reported by The Guardian.

Donald Trump's actions were followed by several other politicians from his party and made hatred of Asian Americans even more intense.
On the other hand, Joe Biden has tried to tackle the rise in anti-Asian hate crimes by signing the bipartisan bill into law.
These efforts specifically aim to provide legal protection to Asian Americans.
