PT WIR Asia Tbk. (WIR Group) formed a joint venture with the Salim Group to develop a metaverse platform to ensure its business network remains ahead and competitive.
This joint venture company was formed with the aim of encouraging the advancement of the metaverse platform in Indonesia.
Salim Group Executive Director Axton Salim assessed that the cooperation through a joint venture with the WIR Group will provide an extraordinary opportunity for the development of the Salim Group's corporate business in the future. "By adopting the metaverse platform, we can explore potential and business opportunities that were previously unimaginable," Axton said in an official statement on Saturday (21/5/2022).
WIR Group President Director Michael Budi Wirjatmo said WIR Group already has the ability to build and develop Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. The technology is considered to be able to support the Salim Group's business entering a new era of unlimited digital.
Michael added that the infinite metaverse world not only makes businesses more efficient and effective, but also presents new opportunities. However, special ways are needed to navigate users in interacting and taking advantage of the opportunities available in the metaverse world.
"We are optimistic that we can help industries including the Salim Group to enter and explore the world of the metaverse in order to bring innovation and new breakthroughs and take advantage of every opportunity that exists for business development," said Michael.
Meanwhile, in the same week WIR Group collaborated with Jak Lingko. Where this collaboration allows users of public transportation in the capital and its surroundings to experience new experiences in using the transportation mode under the auspices of Jak Lingko.
