This Color Message app allows users to personalize their default SMS messages. Unfortunately, this application actually carries the malware Joker .
Once installed, malware this Joker can do three things. First, the malware can simulate clicks to generate profits from malicious ads.
Second, malware makes users activate paid services secretly to suck up credit or fake bills.
Third, malware can access contact data and send the information to hackers .
Citing Sammobile , Thursday (12/23/2021), malware is Joker difficult to detect because it has hidden traces.
The infected Color Message application malware- also makes it difficult for users to find it because it can hide the application icon once installed.
Color Message is said to be connected to a Russian server. This application can also be operated on devices running a minimum operating system of Android 6.0.
Thankfully, Google has removed Color Message from the Play Store app store. However, this application has been downloaded by more than 500,000 Android users.
If any users have Color Message installed, they are advised to uninstall the app.
