The existence of the chipset new Exynos 2200 has been revealed by a leaker in the fourth quarter of 2021. Samsung has announced that their flagship chipset is ready to launch in 2022.
For information, leaks circulating temporarily mention the naming "Exynos 2200". However, it is possible that the commercial name may change.
This is similar to the Snapdragon 898 leak, but Qualcomm has instead chosen the commercial name Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Quoted from GSMArena , Exynos 2200 is expected to arrive before February 2022.
That is the period when the Galaxy S22 series is ready to launch. Chipsets usually arrive about a month before the phone is introduced to the public.
The company recently confirmed that the new chipset will indeed launch " early next year ". Samsung said it was preparing a " small gift for gaming fans ".
The statement provoked speculation regarding the game-oriented Exynos 2200. The teaser video shows a child being vaccinated but still can't see his friends, so they have to stick to mobile games.Interestingly enough, one of the posters above the bed reads "2200". This seems to be a sign of the existence of the Exynos 2200. A leak from a leaker some time ago claims that the Exynos 2200 will bring significant performance improvements.
The release of the Exynos 2200 is expected to be a major event in the smartphone graphics industry. The chipset GPU will be based on AMD's RDNA 2 architecture used in APUs, graphics cards, and (in modified form) on PlayStation 5 and Xbox One Series consoles.
Leaker @FrontTron shares a leaked Exynos 2200 which shows a significant performance increase over the previous generation Exynos 2100.
The leaks circulating claim that the chipset offers a peak performance increase of 31-34 percent. While sustainable performance will increase by 17-20 percent compared to the previous chipset.
There is still no direct comparison between the Exynos 2200 GPU and the Adreno in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The new chipset will be built on a 4 nm FiNFET fabricated system with a Radeon mobile GPU.
That will bring HDR Gaming , Ray-Tracing, and Variable Rate Shading support to mobile gaming. Keep in mind, Ray Tracing is now standard on high-end PC and gaming consoles.
This feature allows users to enjoy the game experience with better lighting effects. Judging from some of the leaks above, it's quite interesting to look forward to the presence of the Exynos 2200 on a flagship cellphone early next year.
