Golden Flashes Men's Basketball: A History of Success and Resilience

The Kent State Golden Flashes men's basketball team has a long and storied history dating back to 1901. The team has won 22 Mid-American Conference (MAC) championships, more than any other school, and has appeared in the NCAA Tournament 13 times.

The Golden Flashes' most successful era came in the 1960s and 1970s, when the team won 10 MAC championships and made nine NCAA Tournament appearances. Led by legendary coach Don Donoher, the Golden Flashes were known for their fast-paced offense and exciting style of play.

George Hill: Hill played for the Golden Flashes from 2004 to 2008. He was a two-time MAC Player of the Year and led the team to the NCAA Tournament in 2008. Hill is currently a member of the Milwaukee Bucks.
