“Currently the government is making decisions in a difficult situation. This is the government's last option, which is to divert fuel subsidies so that the prices of several types of fuel will be adjusted," said President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) as quoted from previous reports.

adjustments latest fuel price that take effect from September 3, 2022 are as follows:

• Pertalite's new price is IDR 10,000 per liter from the previous IDR 7,650 per liter
• The new price of subsidized diesel is Rp 6,800 per liter from the previous Rp 5,150 per liter
• Pertamax's new price is Rp. 14,500 per liter from the previous Rp. 12,500 per liter

Meanwhile, PT Pertamina (Persero) through its official release has adjusted general or non-subsidized fuel prices starting September 1, 2022.
