The Financial Services Authority or OJK has spoken about an application under the guise of Enel Green Power or Enel Green Power, which is available on the Play Store under the name Energi Hijau. Tongam said that the money game was carried out through a money-making application under the guise of investing in a power generator that promises a profit of up to 200 percent.
"They ask the public to make deposits and recruit members to get higher bonuses," Tongam said in a written statement, Wednesday, June 29, 2022.
In its description on the Play Store, the app offers a low investment method with high return on investment. The app has received a 4.4 star rating with 4,000 reviews.
The Investment Alert Task Force (SWI), which consists of 12 ministries and institutions including the OJK, also appealed to the public not to join the application under the guise of Enel Green Power or Enel Green Power investment.
Furthermore, Tongam ensures that the application is an illegal investment platform and does not have a license from any regulator. The public is also careful and wary of all fraudulent investment modes, illegal online loans, illegal savings and loan cooperatives, as well as illegal trading applications through applications.
The Investment Alert Task Force, said Tongam, has stopped several money-generating applications that have similar activities, including the name Schneider pv. "People are asked not to participate (similar applications) because they are suspected of being fraudulent," he said.
He said SWI would not hesitate to block all financial platforms that do not have a financial technology permit from the OJK , the Commodity Futures Trading Supervisory Agency (Bappebti) of the Ministry of Trade, or at least registered as an application under the supervision of the Indonesian Ministry of Communication and Information (Kemenkominfo).
SWI consists of 12 Ministries and Institutions, including the Ministry of Communication and Information, the Indonesian Police, and the Financial Services Authority (OJK). The public is also proactive by reporting all forms of suspicious financial access offers through OJK or SWI consumer services, namely OJK 157, email consumer@ojk.go.id or alertinvestasi@ojk.go.id.
