Kanye West mocks Kim Kardashian at the 2022 BET Awards

Kanye West appeared on stage at the end of the BET Awards on June 26 to honor P Diddy who was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award.

True to his character these days, Kanye appears to cover his face with a mask and hood while talking about how Diddy has inspired him throughout his career.

He even seemed emotional at one point when talking about the legendary rapper.

During his lengthy speech, Kanye even referenced his divorce from Kim Kardashian. He was judged to have ridiculed his ex.

"I went to [Diddy] for advice to this day," Kanye said.

"She inspired so many of my choices. So many of my life choices. My wife's choices. And here we are - thanks for that, Puff."

Kanye laughed after making a joke and the audience burst into laughter. Twitter was immediately flooded with fans expressing their reactions to the shadow.

Aside from a small reference to Kim, Kanye mostly spent time on stage at the BET Awards thanking Diddy for being an inspiration to him.

"This man has survived so many things and broken down so many doors that we can be here today," Kanye admitted.

"He's broken down so many doors about class, tastes, culture, swag. Puff, if I never told you... I love you," she added.

Kanye also remembers getting Diddy's old mixtape and listening to it at his mother's house, hoping one day to be like his favorite artist Puff.

"This is my favorite artist," said Kanye.

"See what I said? Favorite artist. Everything. Not specifically production. Back then, there were so many rules for hip hop and he broke them all. And broke down all the doors. And understood contracts in a way that a lot of us still don't understand. He understands money in a way that many of us still don't understand."
