The Pre-Employment Card is claimed to have received a lot of praise for being one of the successful programs in responding quickly to the socio-economic impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto claims that many countries appreciate the Pre-Employment Card program. The program is considered to help people find work during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Airlangga explained the pre-employment program when speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. The meeting will take place from today, 22-26 May 2022.
According to him, the Pre-Employment Card program has received a lot of praise for being one of the National Economic Recovery (PEN) programs that was successful in responding quickly to the socio-economic impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
"As a semi-social assistance program, the Pre-Employment Card not only helps workers who have been laid off during the pandemic, but also improves the skills of the workforce, but broadly also contributes to giving birth to strong young entrepreneurs and opening up new jobs," said Airlangga on Sunday ( 22/5/2022).
According to him, various international institutions such as the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) appreciate the Pre-Employment Card program because it can help handle layoffs and other employment problems during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Airlangga also said that there would be a presentation on the Pre-Employment Card program at the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) conference. The program is considered a successful model in preparing the workforce for future job demands.
"The Indonesian government will share experiences about the Pre-Employment Card Program with the world at the CONFINTEA VII forum organized by UNESCO in mid-June in Morocco," said Airlangga.
