"A drop of your blood gives life", this is proof of Abipraya's contribution to supporting the government in maintaining the stability of Indonesia's blood supply.
As a form of concern for others, PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero), this state-owned construction company is always committed to continuing to carry out the Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
By re-organizing blood donation activities with the theme, "A drop of your blood gives life", this is one proof of Abipraya's contribution to supporting the Government in maintaining the stability of Indonesia's blood supply.
In collaboration with Srikandi Abipraya, this social activity was held at the Abipraya Brantas Building located in Cawang, East Jakarta. This activity was opened directly by Sugeng Rochadi as the President Director.
"Through today's activity, all Abipraya personnel want to prioritize concern for the surrounding community. Hopefully this blood donation activity can provide more benefits for the environment that our brothers and sisters need,” said Sugeng.
Besides being able to be followed by Abipraya Personnel who are at the Head Office and projects around Jakarta, the people who live around the location also participate in this humanitarian action.
Sugeng hopes that from a total of 197 donors, this state-owned construction company, which is known to be the most reliable in the development of water infrastructure, can contribute to meeting the needs of blood bags for those in need.
From this activity, Sugeng also wants to spread the spirit to work hand in hand with each other, not only invites Abipraya Personnel at the Head Office, he also calls on Abipraya projects spread across Indonesia to hold social activities to help each other, spread kindness.
As additional information, this blood donation activity is an annual Brantas Abipraya activity which is usually held three times a year, but was delayed two years later due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
One of Abipraya's personnel who took part in this activity, Raihan Mahdy, welcomed this kind of activity. He said that apart from helping others, donating blood regularly is also good for health.
Present at the implementation, dr. Bono Suwignyo as the Person in Charge of the Blood Transfusion Unit of PMI DKI Jakarta Province, he said that every day DKI Jakarta needs 1,200 blood bags that must be filled, so that a blood donation event like the one held by Abipraya can help achieve PMI's blood bag target.
Further explained by dr. Bono, the personal benefits that can be obtained from donating blood for health include reducing the risk of cancer, increasing the production of red blood cells, burning calories and maintaining heart health.
dr. Bono also expressed his gratitude for holding this blood donor activity. This humanitarian action can help PMI in providing blood for the people in Jakarta. He hopes that this activity can be carried out regularly by Abipraya Personnel to be able to help others.
Being included in the TJSL program, Sugeng added, this program is a step that is strongly directed by the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) which is certainly a priority for Brantas Abipraya as one of the BUMN Karya which hopes to integrate with the environment and the surrounding community through its projects located in throughout the country, this BUMN will always be there for the country to provide the best for the people of Indonesia.
Through this activity, Sugeng hopes that this blood donation activity can foster enthusiasm and awareness in each of us about the importance of brotherhood and mutual help among human beings. "Hopefully, through this activity, we will become more sensitive and more concerned about the suffering of others in need," he concluded.
