Barcelona transfer market, Dani Alves is worried about being ignored by management, two freebies join immediately

Barcelona have reportedly announced the signing of two new players ahead of the opening of the 2022 summer transfer window.

The two players are free transfers alias free, they are Andreas Christensen and Franck Kessie.

It is known, the 2021-2022 season has officially ended in all elite competitions in Europe, including the Spanish League.

The Spanish League 2021-2022 was won by Real Madrid who managed to seal the top of the standings with 86 points.

The second and third places are filled by Barcelona (73 points) and Atletico Madrid (71).

For Barcelona, this season is the second failure to win the Spanish League.

The reason is, in the previous season, Barcelona was only able to finish in third place under the Ronald Koeman era.

The Spanish League champions in the 2020-2021 season are Atletico Madrid.

However, with Ronald Koeman, Barcelona successfully grabbed the Copa del Rey title.

When the reins of leadership passed into the hands of Xavi Hernandez, the hope to win the Spanish League began to be proclaimed.

Although it was limping at the start of the season, slowly El Barca began to rise towards the second half of the competition.

As a result, Xavi Hernandez's troops managed to carve 15 matches unbeaten in all competitive events.

However, this impressive performance did not last long because Barcelona were finally eliminated in the quarter-finals of the Europa League and were beaten by poor teams such as Cadiz and Rayo Vallecano.

Especially at the end of the season, Sergio Busquets et al. lost 0-2 to Villarreal at Camp Nou in the 38th jornada of the Spanish League.

The presence of Xavi has not brought a blessing to Barcelona in the 2021-2022 season considering that neither of them won the title.

Barcelona's shortcomings and weaknesses last season must be immediately corrected by the management.

A myriad of homework must be completed by the club in planning the squad for the 2022-2023 season.

In the midst of recovering from the economic crisis, Barcelona's movement in hunting for new players has changed course.

If they are usually fishing for the new season, this time during the 2022 summer transfer market they are trying to secure players on a free transfer.

Two players labeled free are reportedly coming soon to Camp Nou.

Reported BolaSport.com from Sport , Barcelona will soon announce the transfers of Andreas Christensen and Franck Kessie.

Andreas Christensen will join on a free after his contract with Chelsea expires in June 2022.

Christensen has played 34 games in all competitive competitions with Chelsea this season.

The Danish defender will be the back-up and successor of the aging Gerard Pique.

Players who play as central defenders such as Samuel Umtiti, Clement Lenglet, and Oscar Mingueza are believed to be sold by Barcelona.

Likewise with Franck Kessie who decided not to extend his tenure with AC Milan whose contract expires on 30 June.

Kessie himself later arrived as champion of the Italian League this season.

The Ivorian has scored seven goals and provided one assist this season in 39 matches across the competitions.

Another advantage that is obtained by Barcelona besides being free, the two different players are in their golden age as footballers.

Christensen is 26 years old while Kessie has just turned 25.

Dani Alves worried about not being heard by Barca management

Barcelona's senior defender, Dani Alves, is not sure he can stay at the club even though he himself is interested in staying there.

Dani Alves' contract at Barcelona expires at the end of the 2021-2022 season.

There is no sign of Barcelona extending their senior defender's contract, although Dani Alves has previously expressed an interest in staying.

The reason Dani Alves wants to remain a Barcelona player is because he wants to guarantee his place in Brazil's squad for the 2022 World Cup.

The 39-year-old defender did not dismiss his hopes of staying at Camp Nou next season starting to fade.

Alves said that after losing 0-2 to Villarreal in the 38th week of the Spanish League, Sunday (22/5/2022) local time.

"I don't know if this match will be my last. I live in the present and don't think about the future," Alves said.

"I have the desire to continue playing because I can continue to help the club. However, the decision is not in my hands."

"I have hope and will continue to fight," he said.

Dani Alves came in 2021 to Barcelona after leaving the club in 2016.

Previously, he had strengthened Sao Paulo before being called back by the Blaugrana management on a one-year contract.

A 0-2 defeat to Villarreal in the 38th week brought Barcelona to finish second in the final standings of the Spanish League for the 2021-2022 season.

Dani Alves et al finished the season with 73 points, 13 points behind league champions and arch-rivals Real Madrid.

Dani Alves reminded his teammates to play more enthusiastically next season.

"We have to be more enthusiastic, because all the players represent the Barcelona and the long history that goes with it."

“Barcelona cannot reach the end of the season without determination. Barcelona is a club that has high demands and has to achieve more goals."

"This season has been full of turmoil with both good and bad moments."

“Barcelona must maintain good performances and not repeat bad ones. That's what we have to think about," he said.
