The draw for the 2022 World Cup group stage will be held at the Doha Convention and Exhibition Center, Qatar at 23.00 WIB. 

The draw will divide the 32 countries into eight groups, who will battle each other for the gold trophy at the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

As the host, Qatar has automatically qualified for the tournament which will be held at the end of 2022.

Four-time World Cup winners, Germany became the first European team to qualify for Qatar after being unwavering as Group J leaders in the European zone qualifiers, 

Meanwhile, Brazil - the most successful national team in the history of the World Cup with five trophies - has also long ago secured a ticket to this year's world cup as the leader of the standings in the qualifying round for the Latin America zone.

The Samba team will still have a postponed match against their arch-rivals, Argentina, after their second meeting on September 6 was stopped by Brazilian health officials.

Meanwhile, the representative countries of Asia, Saudi Arabia and Japan are the latest countries that will go to the Qatar 2022 World Cup. The Blue Samurai Team drew 1-1 against Vietnam on March 29, while the Green Eagle Team managed to win narrowly over Australia on 30 last March.

A total of 32 teams will go to Qatar to participate in the 2022 World Cup. However, so far only 29 countries have confirmed that they will compete in the most prestigious football competition.

The remaining three spots will be fought for by Ukraine, Scotland and Wales from the European zone, followed by Costa Rica, New Zealand and Peru, as well as Australia and the United Arab Emirates for the intercontinental playoffs.

The draw night for the Qatar 2022 World Cup group stage is expected to be attended by over 2,000 guests and will be hosted by Carli Lloyd, Jermaine Jenas and Samantha Johnson.

 There were also a number of world football legends who were lined up to read out the draw for the 2022 World Cup group qualification round.

The legends that have been confirmed to attend are Cafu (Brazil), Lothar Matthaus (Germany), Adel Ahmed MalAllah (Qatar), Ali Daei (IR Iran), Bora Milutinovic (Serbia/Mexico), Jay-Jay Okocha (Nigeria), Rabah Madjer (Algeria), and Tim Cahill (Australia).
