Leaping back a few years, the Google AMP ( Accelerated Mobile Pages ) feature actually serves a good purpose. Accelerate the loading required for the destination site without complicating web developers from related sites. However, it seems that Brave and DuckDuckGo object to Google's monopoly indication.
Brave Match and DuckDuckGo VS Google AMP Features
Even now, the giant Google is more 'delightful' of sites that implement Google AMP features than sites that don't use them. The feature that is able to speed loading of this site turns out to be prioritizing sites that do embed AMP on their sites.
To remove this 'injustice', Brave recently launched privacy update which confirmed that they would implement the De-AMP feature.
Based on information from the official website, this feature called De-AMP will allow us to bypass the Google AMP feature . So users can visit the destination page directly.
Similar to DuckDuckGo, in his tweet, he wrote that the application now provides protection against 'data theft' carried out through Google AMP. You can see a snippet of his tweet below.
According to the tweet, DuckDuckGo through its application and extension , allows you to visit the destination page directly without the giant interruption.
DuckDuckGo explains that the AMP feature is a bad idea because it allows Google to completely 'steal' personal information. The implementation of AMP features makes it easy users , but on the other hand, it forces other sites to implement AMP on managed sites.
The Google giant through its spokesman said that what Brave and DuckDuckGo said was simply misleading. Not only that, bypassing the AMP feature is actually a bad decision because it will increase the loading required
