President Ukrainian Volodymyr Zelensky once again criticized Western countries for their commitment to helping their country from the threat of Russian .
In a video broadcast on the Telegram on Tuesday (8/3), Zelensky considered that Western countries had broken their promises regarding their commitment to protect Ukraine from Russian attacks.
"It's been 13 days since we heard the promise, 13 days we were told that we would have air defense support, that there would be fighter aircraft assistance that they would send us," Zelensky said.
"But the responsibility for that also lies with those of the West who have been unable to make a decision during these 13 days (since the Russian invasion took place)," he added .
Previously, Zelensky had also warned that Western countries could become Russia's next target after his country was crushed by Moscow's aggression.
According to Zelensky, Russia's aggression will not only stop in Ukraine because the Red Bear Country is being led by a "monster" regime.
"Everyone thinks that We (Ukraine) are far from America or Canada. No, we are in a freedom zone. And when the boundaries of rights and freedoms are violated and stepped on, then you have to protect us," Zelensky said in an interview with ABC World News Tonight on Monday (7/3).
"Because we are the first. You are the second. As more and more this beast (Russia) eats it will want more and more," he added.
On that occasion, Zelensky again highlighted the urgency of Western countries, especially NATO, to implement a no-fly zone in Ukraine so that Russia would stop bombarding its country.
Zelensky said the insistence after NATO rejected his request. A number of parties considered NATO's refusal to be due to the alliance's refusal to engage directly with Russia militarily.
"We can't keep the Russians active, because they are bombarding us, they are shooting at us, they are sending missiles, helicopters, fighter jets and a lot of things," Zelensky said.
