Netflix has finally released a first-look for The Adam Project , a new sci-fi film that will star Ryan Reynolds , Mark Ruffalo and Zoe Saldana.
Directed by Shawn Levy, The Adam Project follows 12-year-old Adam Reed (Walker Scobell) who is still grieving the sudden death of his father a year earlier.
One night, he stumbles into his garage and finds an older version of himself. Turns out, he's back from a future where people are just starting to think about how to time travel to carry out secret missions. He needed the young man's help to do so.
In addition to Ryan, Mark and Zoe, Alex Mallari Jr., Catherine Keener and Jennifer Garner complete the supporting cast as Adam's closest people. In one of the four photos released by Netflix, Ryan, who plays the adult Adam, is seen standing next to Zoe's character.
Details about him haven't been announced yet, but he certainly looks serious, if the massive weapon he wields in an instant is an important tool.
“You have a middleman character who has told himself a story about his own father that isn't necessarily true,” Ryan Reynolds told Vanity Fair recently.
"I've been telling myself stories to justify things about my father and the complicated relationship I had with him before he died. Reconciling that was very difficult."
The Adam Project will be released on Netflix on March 11.
