With Mi Cloud active, photo or video files will automatically be backed up and stored in the Mi Cloud account. Previously we had to create a Mi account to activate the Mi Cloud. Here's how to create a Mi account on a Xiaomi cellphone:
- First of all you have to enter the "settings" menu or settings on your Xiaomi cellphone.
- Next select "Mi account" and click "Create Mi account".
- Then, you can register it using your email or cellphone number.

- After verification, create a password that you can remember and click "create account".

After the Mi account is formed, then we must activate the Mi Cloud, the method is as below:
- First open the gallery application on your cellphone.
- Click on the other menu in the upper right corner with the three dot symbol.
- Next go to "settings" or "settings".
- Then activate "back up automatically", after which you will see a notification that synchronization will be activated, click "turn on".
- You must disable "only show local albums" so that all photos and videos in the gallery can be backed up automatically. Finished.
If you manage to activate Mi Cloud on your cellphone, then after this all your photos and videos will be saved in your Mi account. So if you accidentally delete an important photo or video, you don't need to panic, because you can restore it.
Photos or videos that can be recovered are photos or videos that are already stored in the Mi Cloud account, so you are reminded to activate your Mi Cloud account immediately before it's too late.
How to restore deleted photos on a Xiaomi cellphone are:
1. Open the gallery on your cellphone.
2. Click the three dots symbol at the top right of the screen.
3. After that, click "trash bin" and enter the Mi Cloud ID that was created.
4. Later you will see which photos or videos can be restored or returned to the gallery.
5. Select the photo or video, then click "recover".
6. Automatically the selected photo or video will be saved back in the gallery.
