Low-Code Platform Needs Predicted to Increase in 2022

Government organizations and businesses in Indonesia in 2022 will still focus on strengthening automation, even hyperautomation of workflows as the main goal of digital transformation.
 


One of the factors that automation is still an option is the presence of low-code platforms that allow organizations to develop mobile and other applications more quickly and economically.

"No wonder the need for low-code platforms is high and the market is getting bigger," said Nextplatform's analysis regarding the projection of digital transformation in Indonesia next year.

The analysis is based on research on companies, startups and government organizations from September to November 2021. Nextplatform is a provider of micro and service management platforms cloud-native . This service was developed by Digital Platform Lab Navcore Nextology since 2010.

According to the Nextplatform report, business process automation is the first foundation for an organization to carry out digital transformation.

There are a number of benefits from business automation, including a more agile, simpler organization, the establishment of standardization of operational aspects, better collaboration, improved customer experience, and quality organizational performance.

The low-code platform has grown rapidly since 2019 and found momentum during the Covid-19 pandemic. Examples of emerging platforms, such as fintech , technology startups in various sectors, even including government and manufacturing.

These platforms, said Nextplatform, are gaining momentum during this pandemic because of their agile, fast, and integrated inter-system nature.

According to Nextplatform, the development of low-code platforms also encourages citizen developers , employees to non-programmer develop applications according to their specific task needs. Applications that can be developed, such as UX (user experience) design design web front-end , , business intelligence specialists, and other simple applications.

“They are not competitors to the IT department, but partners who are given the opportunity to develop applications with different tasks and powers. They are the ones who help accelerate the digital transformation of an organization," said Nextplatform in a brief report
